This solo exhibition includes thirty-five pieces of John Miller’s oversized glass sculptures of food, drinks, and condiments, contextualized by 1950s diner fixtures and fittings.
There’s a jukebox, lights, and favorite foods- hamburgers with mayo, a slice of American cheese leafy lettuce, juicy tomato on a sesame bun; curly and crinkle fries, plump hot dogs slathered in mustard, glasses of coke filled to the brim with ice cubes and equipped with a straw, among many other iconic Diner items- all very lifelike, except they are oversize, and rendered in glass.
